Thompson Exits Early at Hamilton County

For the first time in a few years Cody returned to Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) on Saturday night for a United States Racing Association (USRA) event.

With 18 entries on hand, mechanical issues prevented Thompson from starting his heat race race. He tagged the back of the pack and up to the third position by the seventh circuit, when his motor expired bringing a disappointing early end to his night.

He was credited with a 17th-place finish.
