Mechanical Gremlins End Thompson's Marshalltown Outing

Cody Thompson rolled into Marshalltown (Iowa) Speedway on Thursday night for the opening round of the King of the High Banks, which posted a $5,000 top prize for the IMCA Stock Cars.

Unfortunately, he was bitten again by the mechanical woes that have plagued him this season. A brand-new cam and lifer failed, which ended his weekend early.

He'll look for better luck next week when the USMTS contingent invades 81 Speedway (Wichita, Kan.).
