7th-place finish for Cody Thompson at Park Jefferson
Cody Thompson returned to his home track of Park Jefferson Speedway (Jefferson, South Dakota) on Saturday to compete in the track’s IMCA-sanctioned Modified division. The event brought 15 Modified competitors to the 3/8-mile clay oval.
Thompson started seventh in his heat race aboard his Team Harris Auto Racing No. 25c machine, but took an eight-place result as he was unable to finish.
He then started 14th in the 20-lap A-Main and drove forward throughout the race to come home seventh.
