Thompson grabs Mason City podium finish
Cody Thompson returned to Iowa’s Mason City Motor Speedway on Sunday evening to compete in the track’s USRA Modified class.
Thompson drove his Excel Floor Covering No. 25ZT machine to third in his heat race at the 1/3-mile track, putting him on the third row for the 20-lap feature.
He picked up two spots in the main event and came home third behind Jim Chisholm and Joe Chisholm. Kelly Shyrock finished fourth behind Thompson and J.T. Wasmund grabbed the fifth spot.
