Runner-up result for Thompson at Worthington Speedway
Cody Thompson rolled into the quarter-mile Worthington (Minnesota) Speedway on Saturday for Salute to Ag Night. He finished second in the 14-car IMCA Modified field.
To open his evening, Thompson drove his Team Harris Auto Racing No. 25c Modified from fifth to second in his heat race. He started sixth in the 20-lap A-Main and claimed the runner-up spot on the fifth circuit. He maintained the position for the rest of the race and took the checkered flag 0.951 seconds behind winner Jace Whitt.
Todd Stinehart, Benjamin Chukuske and Cole Bents completed the top five.
