Cody Thompson takes on tough Mississippi Thunder competition
After taking part in last week’s season opener at Mississippi Thunder Speedway, Cody Thompson returned to the 1/3-mile clay oval in Fountain City, Wisconsin, on Friday evening to compete in the Dairyland Showdown.
With a stout field of 50 USRA Modified drivers on hand, Thompson finished ninth in one of five heat races aboard his Team Harris Auto Racing No. 25c machine.
He retired after the sixth lap of his B-Main, bringing his event to a close before the 40-lap, $3,000-to-win feature.
