Thompson highlights recent weekend with IMCA top-five at Off Road Speedway
A busy agenda, nonetheless, Iowa wheelman via South Dakota Cody Thompson entered three events in three days during the recent weekend, and although his Friday visit to Park Jefferson International, as well as Sunday start at Stuart Speedway each ended with not-so-stellar 22nd-place outcomes, his Saturday, May 2, appearance at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, Nebraska, concluded in success - fifth from fifth on the IMCA Late Model grid. The evening commenced with a runner-up performance in his respective heat race. There were 27 cars entered for action.
Thompson, certainly no stranger to success in the IMCA Late Model ranks, was nearly perfect heading into his early May slate, earning four straight IMCA top-tens at Park Jefferson International Speedway - finishing as high as second on April 24.
